That is impressive for only a few weeks of lessons. I have to say, though, you are a saint for listening to a beginner learn the violin. Even as a violinist myself, I think it is possibly the most horrifying instrument to listen to in the hands of a new violinist. Even though I have my tiny first violin put back for my kids, I don't know that I can listen to it! I think I'll make them all learn harp, which is about the only instrument on which even mistakes sound pleasant!
