Check out this picture. Don't ya think if you are too poor to keep food on your table - so poor that you need to go to a soup kitchen to stay alive...... don't ya think you'd probably be unable to afford a cell phone? Apparently not. Here's a pic from the Washington post. There's a picture of Michelle Obama at a homeless shelter in Washington. She's on the other side of the glass, serving food to the homeless, and the homeless and the poor are showing up taking pictures of her with their cell phones! Unbelievable.

From what I hear... cell phones are the rage in Haiti, where they are too poor to even have electricity to recharge them... they recharge them when they come to church! OK, but what does that have to do with your picture? Nothing, it's just the only comment I could think of. :)
Wow! I guess the fact that DH and I each work about 60 hours a week and STILL don't own cell phones (because we can't afford them)means nothing!!!
Since when were they a necessity to survive?
