Santa visits our kids

Disclaimer: The Gurnee children know without any doubt that Christmas is about Jesus birth. That is clearly the emphasis and priority.

That said.....

We have a friend who is the local Santa each year. This year, for the second time, he has come to our home and brought gifts (that we have given him before hand) to our kids. It is SO much fun. Santa brought them each new jammies and a game for the girls and a game for the boys.

This year, the kids stayed up late enough to even hear the sleigh and reindeer on the roof!!! Daddy did a great job of running around on the roof ringing the sleigh bells and saying "ho ho ho!!!" Then he got off the roof quickly and while we were excitedly looking out the back window he ran around the back yard with a red light (Rudolph's nose shining). The kids came just about unglued. They were SO excited. Their eyes were huge. They were squealing and just ecstatic. Even Kenton who rarely shows any excitement was just beside himself.

So, Christmas has arrived at the Gurnee home.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!!

That is too funny! What would have been even funnier, is if "Santa" would have fallen off the roof : ) Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
