For the history behind what I am about to post see http://keepvillechurch.blogspot.com/2007/12/this-one-is-for-my-wife.html
In light of that post... this is for my husband....
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindoor grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the begnning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers until after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.
We should have known...ONLY women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

I really like this. How true. Guys cannot go anywhere without getting lost:)
Okay, but I'm a little directionally challenged myself, so I have to hope the head reindeer isn't blonde. :)
Love it, love it, love it!
Oh, I've read this before but had forgotten about it. Thanks for the laugh this morning. I started to post something about another fellow female blogger, but I'll let her tell on herself :)
That's for sure, because we KNOW that the men wouldn't stop and ask for directions, HA!
Excellent work, Ms Julie ma'am!!!!! :-D
I was relating this whole "this one is for my wife; this one is for my husband" banter. I snickered when I was telling the part about you not knowing the deer antlers grew back each year but only b/c I knew what was coming in the story. My husband promptly repremanded me and said he and I had this VERY conversation a few months ago. I don't remember it, but I'll take his word for it! But one thing he can't say against me, I CAN read a map!! I might not be able to pack without stressing but I can read a map!! (eh, Janiece?!?!?! :)
