This Sunday our church had a food pounding for us for Pastor Appreciation Month. I have to tell you that we can tell that our people know us. Someone brought lots of bottled water!!! (for those of you who don't know, we run out of water several times a day here at the parsonage). Several people brought alot of baking supplies - apparently its well known that the pastor's wife likes to bake!! Someone brought hamloaf mix. Guess why? That someone knows that hamballs are the parsonage family's favorite meal!! Someone brought lots of cheese. Probably because they know that the Gurnee's LOVE lots of cheese! It was fun opening all the bags and seeing all the good food!! Lots of goodies that Mommy doesn't usually splurge on!!! Someone even got us gift certificates to McDonalds!! Anyways.... we love our people so much and we are so undeserving of their love. They take such good care of us and we KNOW we are loved which is a wonderful feeling. We took a picture of the food but we couldn't fit it all on the table so you'll have to just imagine.

Wow! VERY nice!!
That's awesome, Julie!!
Yay! I love food poundings!
Gotta love a grocery shower where you actually get food you will use :)
That's awesome. Our church is taking good care of us too.
Very cool!
What a blessing!
How fun! I remember as a kid how fun it was when we would have "Harvest Home". We would get all those great cereals and oreo's. Mmmm! I remember one year we received 70 some bottles of ketchup. So glad your church did that for you.
What a blessing! It's wonderful to know that good people appreciate good ministry! Love-mary
