Back to School Sunday!!

Yesterday was also "Back to School Sunday" for us here at Keepville. We had a special service dedicated to our children. Byron talked to the kids (in place of his sermon) about the pencil and how it applys their lives. They all seemed to enjoy the object lesson. At the conclusion of the service Byron called all the kids who would be going to school this year to come up front and then he prayed with them all. All the kids got to take home a stack of goodies from the church. There were 2 notebooks, a pack of pencils, and 3 pens.

What a VERY neat idea! I have always wanted to do something like that in our Jr. Class, but so many kids, it is hard to prepare for it.

What a nice idea. I'd like to do it in the Dominican too where kids really need help in getting school supplies together...
